Lipitor-Induced Diabetes Lawsuits Increasing

The anti-cholesterol medication Lipitor has been linked to the development of Type-2 Diabetes in women. In fact, the FDA required a label change for this statin drug in 2012 to warn of the increased risk of diabetes.

Within the last six months, over 4,000 women have filed lawsuits against Pfizer, the manufacturer of Lipitor. These cases have been consolidated and are pending in federal court in Charleston, SC. The first trial is scheduled to take place in July 2015.

Attorney Jean Sutton Martin has over 15 years of experience handling these types of claims against the big pharmaceutical companies. We have been investigating Lipitor cases for women under the age of 75 who took Lipitor for at least 30 days and developed Type 2 Diabetes. If you have developed diabetes as a result of taking Lipitor, please call our office at 888-316-3485 for more information.
